The glass lid can be used for a slow cook, steam, sauté, sous vide, rice, and keep warm functions. The heat comes from under the inner pot with a powerful high-temperature element.

Let’s discuss the Sous Vide function of this countertop gadget which I believe is the most noteworthy.

The first step, fill the Inner Pot with water. Then rotate the Control Knob to Sous Vide function. You can adjust the cooking time manually and then press the Start Button to confirm.

Now you’re ready to prepare your food. Begin by putting the ingredients in a sealed plastic bag or vacuum-sealed bag. Ensure that all air is removed from sealed bags to prevent the bags from floating.

Once the water has reached the desired temperature, immerse the pouches.

If you’re like me who likes their steak medium, you can sous vide your beef at 140°F/60°C for 1 hr. 15 mins. If you want it medium-well, set the temperature at 150°F/65°C for 1 hr. 15 mins.

Pro tip: With sous vide and slow cook, don’t lift the lid unnecessarily as this will ruin the cooking process.

Don’t forget to sear with butter, salt, pepper, and rosemary in a hot skillet for maximum flavor.

In the most straightforward words, the sous vide function enables you to create an absolutely delicious steak even if you use cheap meat.

How does Power XL Grill Air Fryer Combo perform as an indoor grill?

You can use the grill plate and the air frying lid for the Grilling function.

The default setting for this function is 450° F (190° C) for 30 mins. But, you can adjust the temperature from 250° F (121ºC) to 500° F (260°C) or the time from 1-59 mins. By doing so, you’ll have an effortless indoor grilling experience.

Here’s the kicker:

While it’s indeed a straightforward indoor grill, it fails the overall grilling experience. You can’t grill with direct heat, so creating grill marks is challenging. Or even a decent grilled dish, for that matter.

Plus, your meal won’t have the smokey flavor of outdoor grilling.

You’re better off with a Ninja Foodi Grill that provides more value for your money.

Is PowerXL Grill Air Fryer Combo easy to use?

The digital LED display and intuitive control knob make this appliance easy to operate.

Once you plug in the air fryer grill, the LED display will light up, and you’ll see dashes on display.

Select a cooking preset by rotating the control knob to the right or left. When your desired cooking function is illuminated, press the start button to confirm the selection. You’ll find the preset time and temperature on display.

If you want to adjust the cooking time, simply press the time button then turn the control dial to your desired time. You can do the same for the temperature with the temp button.

Is PowerXL 6 Qt Grill Air Fryer easy to clean?

It all boils down to the cleaning. Cleanup is a breeze, but you should be careful when handling the nonstick parts as they can be easily scratched.

The good news?

The Inner Pot and Glass Lid of PowerXL 6 Qt Grill Air Fryer Combo are dishwasher safe. However, the manufacturer recommends cleaning these parts by hand as they’re prone to scratching and chipping off. The brand also recommends using a non-citrus dishwashing detergent.
